Nashville country-rocker Mark Mackay, originally from Truckee, will make his triumphant return to his roots for a one-night-only concert to benefit the Tahoe Truckee School of Music at the Community Arts Center on Dec. 27. Doors open at 6 p.m.
Mackay, hailed for his storytelling authenticity and spirited performances, invites the community to join him for an unforgettable evening of not only fantastic music, but a chance to support Tahoe Truckee School of Music. This homecoming concert will be recorded live for a forthcoming album, with all proceeds donated the school.
“This show has a special meaning for me. First of all, going to music school and taking piano lessons is how I got started in the music industry,” shares Mackay in a press release. “I think we all need to do a better job of encouraging people to play instruments! Second, Truckee was home to me many years ago when I worked in the ski industry and I’m always happy to come back and help the local community. They are the greatest folks up there.”
Concertgoers will have the opportunity to purchase drinks from The Good Wolf Brewing Company, while the school will host a silent auction. Don’t miss entering the free Ultimate Mark Mackay VIP Giveaway ($3,580 value) and grab your tickets.
