The U.S. Forest Service is hosting fun days for youngsters at Taylor Creek Visitor Center in South Lake Tahoe each week. On July 26 and Aug. 2, at 10 a.m. ages 6 to 12 can participate in an action-filled project to teach them how the parts of nature are connected as they earn their Jr. Forest Ranger badges.

On July 28, at 10 a.m. learn about fire safety on Smokey the Bear’s Trail. Meet in front of the visitor center.

On July 29, at 10:30 a.m. join an on-site naturalist for a walk down the Rainbow Trail. Learn all about the connection between Lake Tahoe and the meadow, marsh and stream located at Taylor Creek Visitor Center. | takecaretahoe.org
