Early morning snow flurries that continued throughout the day on Feb. 15 brought up to 8 inches of new snow in the higher elevations in South Lake Tahoe, while it dusted Truckee and North Lake Tahoe with up to 3 inches. Dry weather along with a gradual warming trend will return for mid- to late-week with the warmest temps on Feb. 19.
Another slider-type system with gusty winds and precipitation moves into the region early next week. The Lake Tahoe region has a 30 percent chance of receiving at least 4 inches of snow between Feb. 20 and 22.
