The North Tahoe Business Association and Tahoe City Downtown Association announced that its Independence Day celebrations will return this summer featuring drone shows instead of fireworks on July 3 in Kings Beach and July 4 in Tahoe City, citing noise pollution, environmental concerns and wildfire danger.
This marks the first time in 2 years the 4th of July celebrations have been held in Tahoe City or Kings Beach. This year also marks the 75th anniversary celebration in Tahoe City.
