Black Ice Theatre, in collaboration with Lake Tahoe Community College Theater Department, performs “The Spitfire Grille,” from June 9 to 18 at LTCC’s Duke Theatre. All shows are at 7:30 p.m., except on June 12 when it will play at 2:30 p.m.
Based on the hit 1996 film, “The Spitfire Grill” is a musical tale of redemption, perseverance and family. Percy Talbot has just been released from a 5-year prison sentence and is trying to find a place for a fresh start. Based on a page from an old travel book, she travels to the small town of Gilead, Wisc. The local sheriff finds her a job at Hannah’s Spitfire Grill —and the rest is a celebration of fresh starts and the power of one.
Tickets are $22. | blackicetheatreco.com
