Coyote Moon  ·

Coyote Moon is an unforgettable mountain golf experience that lies on 250 acres of secluded land, with no houses, but plenty of towering pines, granite outcroppings, wildflowers and creeks. This course was designed by Brad Bell, a former PGA Tour player, who is well known for creating highly praised golf courses around the central valley.

Coyote Moon will be a test for golfers of all abilities and handicaps. The majority of tee shots offer good-sized landing areas that have only a few forced carries. Most holes funnel down to medium-sized, undulating greens that are well protected by trees, sand and water. The risk and return payoff is high for nearly every hole. This is a course in which you will need a cart, unless you are in excellent shape and ready for a workout.

Toughest Hole
The par 4, 4th hole measures 441 yards from the tips. This long par 4 is a dogleg left that requires a strong tee shot for any hope of par. Make sure to take enough club on the uphill approach shot, which will likely require a mid-iron in order to reach the green in two. However, you will be penalized if you take too much club since the green slopes hard from back to front making for difficult short pitch shots or long putts. After getting on the green, the medium-sized undulating green will likely test your putter, as well as your ability to read this tricky green.

Signature Hole
The 13th hole is a par 3 measuring 227 yards from the tips. The hole is stunning once you climb to the tee box, which is several hundred feet above the green. Depending on the wind and hole location, this downhill par 3 plays one to three clubs less than the yardage, mainly due to the height you are above the green. Choosing the right club is critical. The green is large, but well guarded by sand on both sides. The tee shot requires that you carry the green since the hole has no fairway, just a large, forested ravine that is out of bounds.
