Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows announced on Sept. 14 that it will not use a reservation system for the 2020-21 winter season for most of its destinations on the Ikon Pass. However, some destinations may not offer day ticket options for the season.
“Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows intends to serve its guests without a reservation system. Passholders will continue to have the best and most flexible access to the resort,” said Ron Cohen, Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows president and chief operating officer, in a press release.
“We plan to manage general visitation by temporarily eliminating the sale of walk up tickets at the window, and dynamically controlling the sale of advance purchase tickets. At this time, we expect such tickets to primarily be available midweek, but we will remain flexible as we learn more throughout the season.”
The press release noted that most destinations on the Ikon Pass will not require reservations, but may eliminate or regulate the number of day tickets, noting that access restrictions will vary by ski area. | ikonpass.com, squawalpine.com
