Tahoe ski resorts received a promising start to the ski season with as much as 20 inches reported at Sierra At Tahoe. The storm system that moved into the region early on Nov. 7 and ended in the morning hours of Nov. 8, was stronger in the south, although West Shore and Truckee ski areas received as much as 8 to 10 inches, according to the National Weather Service.
Conditions continue to look favorable for more snow showers to move in on the afternoon of Nov. 12 and continue through the weekend of Nov. 14 and 15, according to the National Weather Service. Another storm is possible on Nov. 16 into Nov. 18, but the strength and timing of that storm is showing wide variability at this time.
