The fourth annual Sierra Nevada Yarn Crawl, a free event designed to celebrate the fiber art community, takes place from Sept. 15 to 18. The self-guided tour of nine participating yarn stores will feature yarn demonstrations, knitting and crochet kits and patterns for sale, free gifts and other special events. Participants can take a day, or take four, making their way around to as many stores as possible from Truckee to Auburn and South Lake Tahoe to Minden, Nev.
The yarn crawl passport can be downloaded from the website and stamped at each store. All participating shops will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sept. 15 to 17 and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sept. 18. | sierranevadayarncrawl.com
